We will handle as much or as little as you want.
Have you been professionally trained and are you insured?
I have been educated and trained by Raleigh Triangle Concierge & Event Planners. SHCS has been in business for over 5 years and yes, SHCS is insured and bonded so you can rest assured we are qualified.
Describe the process of getting to know your clients. What are some important questions that you have for couples, so that you can better plan their wedding?
We feel that it is important to really get to know our couples as much as possible. Our services are custom tailored to best fit the bride and groom's needs. We do have packages but vary depending on the bride and grooms needs. Before we start our process, we ask each couple to fill out our Information Form which helps us better understanding their style and focus. Some questions we would ask are:
How did you two meet? If you could list 5 things that you want your dream wedding to have, what would they be? We feel, it's very important for us to get to know the couple and for us to listen.
What are some ways you personalize a wedding or event?
First, we listen. We take the information and incorporate unique pieces that best reflect the couple's personality. We want the guests to recognize that this wedding is all about the bridal couple.
What inspired you to enter the wedding planning field?
We have always been planners. We truly enjoy making every detail count and to run each event smoothly and delight in seeing our clients and their guests enjoying themselves. We are self driven with lots of energy and resources to make it all happen.
Why are wedding planners so important?
Wedding planners are very important because we keep the couple on schedule, within their budget and handle all the details that require time and energy.
Why should a couple hire SHCS as their wedding/event coordinator?
SHCS acts as the mediator between the couple and the services they require. We know what are reasonable prices and know many of the vendors and surrounding businesses. Our focus is giving the couple peace of mind and time to enjoy their wedding. Relax...let us handle the details.
Will I lose control of my wedding if I hire a wedding coordinator?
Not at all. Our goal is to give you peace of mind that comes with trusting that we will handle the details. During the planning process, we will give you guidance and suggestions, but you make all of the final decisions. We will handle as much or as little as you would like.
Are you military friendly?
Yes we are! We offer military couples $50 off our services for serving our great country.
Will SHCS only be working with my wedding on that day?
SHCS will have dedicated staff for the day of your wedding. We work as a team, collaborating on all facets of your wedding ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer service.
What type of events can Southern Hospitality plan?
We plan anything from intimate dinner parties to large corporation events with hundreds. Some of our past events have been: bridal parties, brides luncheon, wine tastings, Christmas parties in private homes and restaurants as well as a retirement party for over 200 guests. Our weddings range from 45 to 200 guests with venues ranging from tents on a lawn to reception halls.
What advise do you have about selecting a wedding site?
You need to go into a venue with positive energy and be able to see yourself and guests there. Both the bride and groom need to feel comfortable and the venue needs to fit into their budget.
Do you work or have a list of our vendors?
Yes, we have a list of vendors who we have worked with. We are always willing to work with new vendors.
What happens if a vendor doesn't show?
First, all our vendors are highly professional with excellent support staff and have been in business many years. We have a continuous dialog with the vendors throughout the entire planning process. The day before the event we confirm all appointments. Due to an unforeseen event and the vendor cannot fulfill their contract, SHCS will arrange through our preferred vendor list an emergency plan.
Does SHCS endorse bridal insurance?
Yes, we do suggest our brides purchase Bridal Insurance since situations may occur (fire,storm,etc), you need to protect your investment.
Will you invoice us for all the vendor fees or will we need to pay each one of them ourselves?
This depends on your package selection. SHCS can contract all the vendors or you can contract them directly.
As changes are made to our plans, will you update us with a revised estimate and budget goal?
Yes, as we build and revise your wedding plans SH will update all documentations.
Once we book with you, how soon do we sign a contract and how do you handle your fee? Do you accept credit cards?
After we have discussed your style and focus and agreed to the type of service, we will send our contract within 2 days. We request a down payment to secure your date. A payment plan will be developed based on services and required deposits. We accept personal checks, bank checks as well as credit cards and PayPal.
